Usually the same day, by phone or email. It is a range, not a formal offer, because we have not seen the van yet.

We take a look in person
If the range suits you, we arrange a time to see it. After that we can make you a firm offer, either as cash or as money off one of our caravans.
What we look at
What makes a caravan worth more or less
There is no fixed price list for used caravans. These are the things that move the number up or down, so you can get a feel for where yours sits before you hear from us.
Age and make
A well known make holds its value, and later vans are worth more. But a tidy older van often beats a tired newer one.
Layout and berths
How many it sleeps, and how the beds are arranged. Fixed beds and a separate bathroom are what most buyers ask us for.
Condition inside
Damp is the big one. Soft walls, a musty smell or stained ceiling panels cost real money to put right, so they pull the value down.
Condition outside
Bodywork, windows, seals, tyres and the chassis. Small marks are normal for a used van and are not a problem.
What is fitted
Solar, an awning, a motor mover, a full oven, heating and a working fridge all add to what someone will pay.
Paperwork
Current registration and warrant, service history and a self contained certificate all make the van easier to sell on, so they are worth money to us.
Why we can only give you a range at first
Any figure we give you before we have seen the caravan is an estimate based on what you have told us and what similar vans are selling for. It is not an offer, and neither of us is bound by it. Damp, damage or anything not working can change the number, which is why we always look at the van in person before we make a firm offer. If what we find matches what you have described, our offer will be in the range we gave you.
